Amapola
First piano recital at the age of five, sang her father's compositions & her mother's lyrics in the Visayan movies the next year, co-starred in her first film at the age of 7. Her career blossomed & took her to Manila where her television, stage, recording & film career flourished. Dubbed the 'Jukebox Queen'(because Jukeboxes were filled with her hit singles) in her country, she sought more challenges on concert tours in Asia & the Pacific & eventually the US Mainland - juggling appearances at The Fairmont Hotels in San Francisco and Dallas & in her own Magazine TV-Variety show "Amapola Presents" in San Francisco KEMO-TV for eight years. Scaling the heights of her career took her around the world inland & at sea as concert and nightclub headliner onboard some of the world's most luxurious ships. Her second novel is published by Amazon's Book Surge Publishing Company. Entitled "Promising Skies", it will hit booksellers in time for Spring and Summer reading. "Promising Skies" follows her first multi-awarded novel "Coming Home" published in August of 2003 by iUniverse.com. "Amy" as she is known to her friends is married to British Photographer Steve Woodward and they now reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
