Parents: Amapola Cabase and Maning Aballe, both musicians

Was born prematurely in the Community Hospital of Cebu City, Philippines.

Rodney and older sister April lead a semi-vagabond life as their parents travel from Cebu to Manila fulfilling their musical potentials until the whole family settled in San Francisco, California without Rodney's father who opted to stay in the Philippines.

A car-loving engine tinkerer, Rodney longed for trade school education as he waited to graduate form Balboa High School in San Francisco.

After high school, Rodney wanted to be a Jack-Of-All Trades and tackled various jobs as security officer, bartender, musician (as drummer and singer), a full pledged professional Polynesian dancer (travelling around the country with his Polynesian Dance Group), among others.

Meets his first and only girlfriend to this day named Stephanie.
